Last weekend. I met Ilanka from Fashionnerdic. To be honest, she has a really warm vibe and ridiculous to say that I love her style. For that reason here is another Style Profile.

Describe your personal style.

That’s a good one. My style is pretty diverse and could change anytime. Although elements like femininity and colour can always be find in my style.

Source of inspiration.

Everything from movies to certain books.

How did you first get interested in fashion and why is it important?

I think I realised that I’m very into fashion when I was about 15 years old. I think it has a lot to do with the first pair of heels I bought. I always have been pretty tall and therefore I never wore heels before. Once I bought my very first pair I realised, that expressing myself by certain choices makes me feel complete and I couldn’t stop since then.

Right now you are working on your career as a stylist, what experiences have you made so far?

I worked on a magazine called Riot and recently started collaborating with my good friend/photographer Jasper van Es. Besides that I often try to assist well known stylists and this week I will be assist an editorial for Glamcult. Right now I'm trying to build upon my portfolio while still studying Lifestyle and design.

Which trends do you see this year?

Strong lines/sportswear and pastel colors for spring, oversized/men inspired silhouettes and simplistic lines for fall/winter.

What's the favorite piece in your closet and which piece would you really like to own?

Such a hard question, because my favorites change from time to time. There are a few pieces in my wardrobe that I wear every year, sometimes more than others. For instance the necklace I own of the brand Malene Birger. It is timeless. Also a leather skirt - a vintage one, which I purchased a year ago and really love to wear.

Which part of your look have you experimented with recently?

I used to avoid trying anything black, but I’m getting more and more into black at the moment. Actually, I like it right now. It makes my style more edgy.

Your haircut is quite unique, what made you changed it from long brown to short blonde?

Thank You!

I'm not as attached to my hair as other girls and if I see something I like I simply do it.

I used to have brown hair and when I came across a gorgeous photo by the photographer Pierre dal Corso showing a woman with very short blond hair I went to the hairdresser on the day after, asked them to chop my locks and dyed my hair straight away.

Most stylish movie?

Marie Antoinotte by Sofia Coppola.

If you had the chance to be in someone else's shoes and live their life for a day, who's fashion personality will you be and why?

Probably Miroslava Duma to see how her day looks like and to hook her wardrobe before I return to my own live.

Next place you want to travel to (and why)

Hawaii due to the beautiful places/atmosphere and temperatures.

Last week, while I was searching for some Christmas presents for my family I ended up in a gallery showing the photo above. In the moment I saw this photo I felt sick. We are always in a hurry, working, shopping and being focused on material things. I hope you come down, at least during the Christmas holidays and spend the time with your loved ones. My wish for Christmas is, that people mention, that there are people who don't have so much luck!

How did you first get interested in fashion and why is it important?

I have no idea. As far as I can remember I’ve always been an obsessed shopper. But I think my interest in fashion and designers developed when I started blogging.

Why did you decide to become a fashion blogger?

A couple of years ago I’ve started showing my looks on community sites like Chictopia.com and lookbook.nu and to my surprise I received a lot of really positive comments. When I found out about blogging I immediately signed up.

What's the favorite piece in your closet and which piece would you really like to own?

At the moment my favorite piece are the Isabel Marant leopard boots (the ones I’m wearing on the photos) and what I would like to own are the Isabel Marant fringe boots. Those are insane!

Most underrated item in womenswear?

There is nothing that really pops up in my mind.

Favorite stores in Amsterdam?

COS, Acne, ZARA, the H&M on DamSquare.

Best Shopping Area?

Nine Streets, Kalverstraat, Leidestraat and PC Hooftstraat.

When exploring a foreign city I love to hang out with locals. Therefore, I met Sarah while I was in Copenhagen last week. We took a stroll, drunk coffee, I shot some photos and she showed me the best places. The most remarkable moment was, when she helped me translating for getting the photo of Gunnar. This was a great moment Sarah, wasn't it!? ;-) Now enjoy her thoughts about fashion, style and ideas for finding the best places in the Danish capital.

Describe your personal style.

The best way to describe it would be calling it versatile, as my style differs from one day to another. I'm always inspired by different things when I choose what to wear, not just one type of style. I mix and match a lot and love to try new things, however I do quite often repeat myself wearing a classic buttoned up shirt with a blazer.

Source of inspiration.

Basically, my inspiration comes from everywhere. From the enormous amount of fashion blogs to some person walking on the street. I like to challenge myself and try not to find inspiration just in the same places. I really love photography as well, and I'm inspired by all sorts of things like city places and different textures in nature.

Style icons.

My style icons always change, but I really like the way Alexa Chung and Chloé Sevigny dress. They are good at mixing both feminine and masculine elements making it look laid back but they manage to keep it chic.

Why did you decide to become a fashion blogger?

It was really spontaneous, actually. One of my friends had shortly before I started my blog introduced me to blogging. Suddenly I thought I'd just give it a try, and that's basically it. Now it has almost become an addiction - I never leave the house without my camera and I really enjoy working on my blog.

Any fashion rules?

My only fashion rule is: no fashion rules! I find dressing much more interesting and intriguing if we don't think in rules, but just that anything is allowed. Not that everything works together, but when all comes to all, fashion is just meant to be fun. Elsewise we all end up wearing the same things.

What's the favorite piece in your closet and which piece would you really like to own?

I have a thing for silk shirts and I have a really large collection of silk shirts in all sorts of colours. I always try to find them at flea markets and thrift stores. I would really like to own the cats eye sunglasses by Ellery, but unfortunately they are way over my budget!

Most underrated item in womenswear?

The most underrated item or items in womenswear, would probably have to be socks and stockings. No one really pays attention to it (I can include myself to this group most of the time), but brands such as Sneaky Fox and Emilie Cavallini make it an art.

Favorite stores in Copenhagen?

I don't have any particular favorite store, but there are so many great places to go! One of them is HAY House (Pilestræde 29) which is a store where you can buy nice and funny things for your home.

Favorite vintage stores in Copenhagen?

Copenhagen is really great when it comes to vintage. My personal favorites are the local thrift stores, where the money you spend on your fashionable finds go to a good cause. But if you travel to Copenhagen, make sure to check out Studiestræde, where you'll find vintage stores like København K (Studiestræde 32 b) and Wasteland (Studiestræde 5) and Larsbjørnsstræde where you'll find a vintage girl's heaven in a shop called FN92 (Larsbjørnsstræde 6).

Best Shopping Area?

On Strøget (the main shoppingstreet) you'll pretty much find everything. My favorite part of Strøget is Østergade, where you can find Topshop, Urban Outfitters, COS and Magasin.

Favorite place in Copenhagen?

I absolutely love Kongens Nytorv, especially up to Christmas. The whole square changes in to a beautiful nordic winter wonderland; the trees are adorned with light chains and they lay ice for skating - it's truly magical. In summer it's just a great place to sit on a café corner or relax at Nyhavn.

Favorite place to have a night out?

I actually don't go out in Copenhagen that much, but when I go out with my friends in the weekend it's mostly to cafés like The Livingroom (Larsbjørnsstræde 17), who are open at night as well, where there's a really cozy and intimate atmosphere.

Favorite café in your neighbourhood?

Copenhagen is rich with lovely cafés, so it's very difficult to choose! I really like ricco's, which is a café located at many places in Copenhagen, but they make really good coffee! The Log Lady in Studiestræde is definitely also worth a visit!

Best place to eat?

Restaurant Firefly (Frederiksborggade 26). It's biological, vegan and they also have a raw-food menu. I love this food, and I can't believe that it's actually healthy!

Which tips would you give someone who wants to visit Copenhagen?

Go to the small streets in the center of town, not just Strøget, which is the main shopping street. You will discover amazing small boutiques with all sorts of interesting things not to mention all the amazing cafés.

I must admit I shot a lot of cute girls for The Styleograph, but Sara's aura is unique. I met her in Madrid and we spent a whole day together, eating typical Spanish food and drinking Mojito and yes, in reality she is at least as likeable as it seems like in the photos. Therefore, I thought it would be cool to do a style profile and get some ideas for exploring the capital of Spain.

How did you first get interested in fashion and why is it important?

I'm interested in fashion since childhood. When I was younger I tried to dress like my mother, changing my outfit 4 or 5 times a day. I love fashion since ever.

What's the aim of your blog / What motivates you?

I really want to share my point of view in terms of fashion with others. Therefore, I love creating my own outfits to inspire other girls how to dress and give them ideas ...and why not get my way in the world of fashion!? My blog is my favorite hobby!

Source of inspiration?

I love streetstyle fashion blogs from other countries, fashion editorials, also old movies inspire me.

No! In fashion there aren’t any rules for me, I like being risky and trying new things.

I love vintage stores, one of my favorites is Lotta Vintage (Calle de Hernán Cortés, 9 ) you can find great items there. And of course “El Museo Popular” (Calle de Santa Ana, 12), a furniture store with cool & unique things for your home.

Best Shopping Area?

Malasaña for vintage clothes, and Gran Via for normal shopping.

Favorite place in Madrid?

Retiro Park.

Favorite place to have a night out?

Honky Tonk

Favorite café in your neighbourhood?

Mamma Framboise (C/ Fernando VI, 23 - Madrid), a great place to enjoy the afternoon with coffee and delicious cakes.

There are so many! Love Norte y Sur (Calle de Bravo Murillo, 97), Casa Lucio (C/ Cava Baja, 35), Juana la Loca (Plaza Puerta de Moros, 4), Pizzaiolo (C/ Hortaleza, 84)…

What would you recommend to somebody visiting Madrid?

Enjoy the city without maps! If you get lost in the city you can be sure to find great places. You need to go to Rastro (A flea market on Sundays), stroll through Retiro Park, taste Spanish Omelet in Juana la Loca and go out at night for experiencing the party life of Madrid.
